Transit Tips for Each DC Airport

Reagan National (DCA) - Take the Metro Blue or Yellow line directly to the airport. No parking headaches, no traffic stress. Terminal A is for commuters, Terminals B and C handle most major airlines. Clear TSA PreCheck lanes move fast here. Best for morning departures when DC traffic is manageable.
Dulles (IAD) - Add 60-90 minutes to your journey from central DC. MARC Train connects BWI Rail Station to Union Station in DC in about 40 minutes - one of the most underused transit options in the region. Amtrak also stops at BWI. Driving takes 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Parking is generally cheaper than Dulles.
